[ sitting in a chair nearby and tipping his head back against it, though he actually looks . . . not quite as weary as when he came to the lab ]

[sits up groaning]

I should take a shower.

[stands and walks slowly to the bathroom]

You should get us dinner... breakfast? I don't know what time is.

[ looks at his watch (analog, baby~) ]

Neither. But I could eat. [ stands up to retrieve his shoes ] Be back in a jiffy.

Don't go back out. There should be food... somewhere.

[ looking up from a doubtful examination of his shoes ]

. . . yeah, okay. I'll take a look around.

[okay good, heads into the shower and he will take at least 20 minutes]

[ when he comes back out there will actually be a pretty decent breakfast waiting for him, some hardboiled eggs and toast with jam and fruit. possibly this will not all be stuff Tony even realized was around, Cap is resourceful. ]

[he steps out, hair still wet and not wearing a shirt. He stares at the breakfast and looks around trying to locate Steve.]

... how did you?

[ just leaving whatever kitchen area exists, carrying some napkins ]

Oh, good. I thought I might need to send a search party.

Still don't know why you'd need to use enough water to flood a small nation.

[ putting down the napkins and some utensils and taking a seat ]

Stark Industries is feeding plenty of small nations, I can use as much water as I want.

Mmh. More effective use of energy, not just better metabolism... still, not as tricky as I thought.

[grabs some toast]

What's the difference?

If it was just faster metabolism you'd be hungry all the time. Body chemistry, it's— [waves a hand] they didn't turn you into an Olympic athlete, that would've been A. easier to execute and B. much harder to sustain, they would've had to put you on a special diet and an exercise regime. So it must've been much more thorough, to put it in my terminology, it was a full reprogramming.
