Yeah, figured I could use another couple days to heal.

[Tony was actually tinkering with an arm]

I'm pretty sure you won't accidentally punch through a wall with this. But when I first built the suit I was pretty sure it was harmless and— well, I broke an entire floor.

[raises an eyebrow at it, looking it over from where he's standing.]

Oh yeah? How're you gonna get that on me, anyway?

You just put it on, the arm should do the rest.

[looks a bit skeptical at that.]

You don't have to put stuff in me to hook it up?

Nah, I was going to. And maybe we can switch it later. But I figured I could make it work without doing anything invasive with sensors and arc reactor tech— don't tell people it's arc reactor tech once we go home, that'd get me in trouble.

Uh . . . yeah, okay.

[steps closer, still looking unsure.]

If you take your shirt off, I'll hook you up.

[nods a bit, carefully shrugging off his coat and getting his shirt off with some difficulty. He's definitely healed a lot in the past week.]

[who has no tact but also no issues at all with any of this? Gets the arm and hooks Bucky up. The arm has to be strapped down, since this doesn't involve implanting anything into Bucky so this takes a couple of minutes]

Once it starts up it might... do something. Not sure what. Maybe tingle?

[eyes it as he straps it on. also how heavy is it.]

You sure this'll be secure?

[it's slightly heavier than an actual arm but probably not as heavy as Bucky thought it'd be]

We ran like twenty different simulations, JARVIS said it'd be fine. [waves at the room before JARVIS says anything] Don't even start, JARVIS.

[and once it's all strapped in, the arm starts up. It makes a noise similar to Tony's suit when it's readying a shot. And also the tingling is more like mild electrocution, but it only lasts for a second, rly]

Agh—!

... that happened in most of the simulations. Can you move it?

The damn thing zapped me! Ghh . . .

[grumbles, but tries to flex his fingers.]

Yeah that was supposed to happen... sort of.

[u can ttly move your fingers. GOOD JOB]

[stares down at the fingers moving.]

I had to make up for the lack of physical connections somehow. [and looking at the fingers] See? I'm a genius.

[tries to bend and generally move the arm, quiet.]

[it totally works. It might feel kind of sloppy because weight plus lack of sensation but that aside it works like a normal arm]

It'll never need charging, and I made it as sturdy as my suit. But this place being this place, damage is not out of the question. Plus, it's a prototype, glitches happen. So, if anything goes wrong let me know and I'll get it sorted.

Okay, uhh . . . does it need any special care? I mean, what about water?

You're good, the casing's waterproof.

So nothing out of the ordinary?

Getting struck by lightning might overload the power source. So, avoid that.

Didn't have that on my bucket list anyway.
