Yeah, think I've got it.

[ hops up from the chair to bring the sketchpad to him. they're both fairly simple, solid bands that don't require a clasp, nothing noticeably matchy about them aside from the similar aesthetic. ]

... maybe I'll give you a job for whenever we're not superheroing.

[he takes the sketchpad and sets on the table]

JARVIS, try scanning it. About time we tested the new sensors anyway.

[a light comes from somewhere on the ceiling and a minute later there's a reproduction of the drawing on Tony's monitor]

[ smiles a little, watching the process. ]

See? He is in the ceiling.

I got sensors on the walls and the floor too, Rogers.

Yeah, but then I'd just look crazy.

But talking to the ceiling is sane behavior?

Compared with talking to thin air?

[ nods at the monitor ]

Will those work?

Yeah, they might be a bit thicker than you drew them— I do have to fit stuff in it. But it should be fine.

Any thoughts on the materials? The only stuff I have around is the alloy my suit's made of...

. . . any progress on the shield? You could maybe make them out of the same thing.

It's a bit overkill, isn't it? And I haven't gotten anywhere yet, I'm still getting tools.

It's durable, which would prevent any false alarms, right? But you can use whatever you want, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I could make it with plastic and there wouldn't be any false alarms... well no, maybe not plastic. Anyway, the material won't make much of a difference the alarm will only go off if it stops getting a pulse.

[ waves a hand ]

[he touches the screen and it splits in two, Steve's design on one half, the parts Tony's been working on in the other]

Once you have the parts it's just a puzzle.

So how do these fit together?

Bucky's is a sensor, a battery and a... [he pauses momentarily, thinking of the right word] ... a very tiny radio. It'll be sending a signal to your bracelet.

[he pokes at the screen and enlarges the second bracelet]

Yours is simpler. It receives the signal, if the signal stops it starts beeping.

[swipes at the screen so all the parts come apart]

I could make them more complicated. I was, actually, but then I realized I could do this instead. Finish them more quickly.
